Pace It Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21/10/2026. Last updated: 21/10/2026
This policy applies to consumers in Washington State, Nevada, Connecticut and other US states with consumer health data laws. It explains how Pace It Running Ltd (“Pace It”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares consumer health data and how you can exercise your rights. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Consumer Health Data We Collect and Why
- Apple Health data, with your permission: workouts, distance, pace, cadence, running dynamics, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 Max, active energy, sleep, workout routes and body measurements. The App processes this data on your device to provide training insights. The App does not upload it to Pace It servers. App analytics do not include your workout measurements or heart rate.
- Activities imported from Strava, when you connect it: activity details and streams, including heart rate, cadence, pace, elevation, laps and route. We store them on our servers to sync them to your phone.
- Shared runs you create on our website: the run's details, including route, heart rate, cadence and the heart rate zone settings you include. We store them on our servers to show the shared page.
Sources of Consumer Health Data
- Apple Health on your device, with your permission
- Strava, when you connect your Strava account
- You, when you share a run from the Run Analyzer on our website
How We Share Consumer Health Data
- Service providers: Vercel (hosting) and MongoDB Atlas (database) store and process Strava activities and shared runs on our behalf. Google Workspace (email) stores support emails, including any workout files you send us.
- People you share a run with: anyone with a shared run link can view that run, at your direction.
- Strava: when you choose to export a workout to Strava, the App sends it from your device to Strava.
The App sends our analytics provider, PostHog, no Apple Health data and no heart rate data. PostHog records how you use the App, such as that you opened a run, not your workout measurements, heart rate or routes. It records nothing about runs imported from a connected service such as Strava. On our website, it records how you use the free tools, not heart rate values.
We do not have affiliates that receive consumer health data. We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use geofencing around health care facilities. We do not allow third parties to collect consumer health data about you over time and across different websites or online services when you use Pace It.
Consent
We collect consumer health data only with your consent or as necessary to provide and support a feature you ask for. You give consent when you:
- Grant Apple Health permissions
- Connect Strava and authorize Pace It on Strava's consent screen
- Create a shared run link
We share it with the service providers that operate Pace It for us. Otherwise we share it only with your consent, such as when you create a shared run link or export a workout to Strava.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by revoking Apple Health permissions or by contacting us, for example to have your imported Strava activities or a shared link deleted. Disconnecting Strava stops new imports.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data
- Access your consumer health data, including a list of the service providers and others we have shared it with and how to contact them
- Have your consumer health data deleted, including by our service providers
- Withdraw your consent
To make a request, email support@paceit.app with the subject “Consumer health data request” and include your Support ID or shared link so we can find your data. We may need to verify your request. We respond within 45 days. If we need up to 45 more days, we will tell you why. We delete consumer health data within 30 days after verifying a deletion request and ask our service providers to delete it too.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above before the changes take effect. We may also let you know in the App.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint or the attorney general of your state.
